OurMinistries - Living Water United Church of Christ

TRUSTEE MINISTRY – Provides supervision, oversight, and care of all real property owned by the church and of all property and equipment acquired directly by the church. Trustees have a fiduciary responsibility for proper use and management of grants or other monetary means.

YOUTH MINISTRY – Provides educational, devotional and fellowship / social outlet for our children and young adults, both inside and outside the congregation.

HOSPITALITY MINISTRY – Responsible for conducting outreach activities, sponsoring events that welcome new members, and promoting fellowship throughout the organization.

URBAN MISSION MINISTRY– Provides oversight and organization to implement church programs which provide benevolent assistance to individuals and groups locally and, through the many ministries of the church, worldwide.

COMMUNICATIONS MINISTRY – Communicates the mission, message, and activities of Living Water United Church of Christ through print, sound, visual, and electronic media. The chairperson coordinates publicity with those responsible for activities in the church and disseminates the plans to team members and sub-committee chairpersons.

EVANGELISM / OUTREACH MINISTRY – Works to make evangelism an ongoing priority of the church and to develop plans to share the love of Christ by 1) making the church known and visible in the community, 2) training church members to be open and inviting to those they meet in the community, and 3) responding to new residents and visitors in person with love and the good news of Jesus Christ.

EDUCATION MINISTRY - Ensures that persons of all ages are provided with opportunities to study the Bible and Christian faith and life. They shall insure that persons of all ages are provided with opportunities to consider their vocation as Christians and particular opportunities to express the vocation of ministry in their chosen careers and occupations. This Ministry provides organization, volunteer staffing, and oversight to the educational activities of the church.

MEMBERSHIP MINISTRY – Must be present prior to the start of each Sunday Service to greet members and visitors as they arrive for the service and to answer any questions about the Fellowship or Service. They shall contact visitors either by phone or email (as the visitor requests) to answer any questions about fellowship.

FOREIGN MISSIONS MINISTRY – Travel abroad to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ while also representing Living Water United Church of Christ.

LITURGICAL ARTS MINISTRY –

Choir / Praise Team – Attend rehearsals weekly, learn songs and music via digital media, travel with Pastor to special church services. Be prepared to lift up a joyful noise and sing praises. Take musical direction from Choir director(s).
Children’s Choir – Attend rehearsals weekly, learn songs and music via digital media, travel with Pastor to special church services. Be prepared to lift up a joyful noise and sing praises. Take musical direction from Choir director(s).
Men’s Choir – Attend rehearsals weekly, learn songs and music via digital media, travel with Pastor to special church services. Be prepared to lift up a joyful noise and sing praises. Take musical direction from Choir director(s).
Praise Dance Team – Attend rehearsals weekly, learn dance routines, share ideas for new routines, travel with Pastor to special services. Take direction from Team Choreographer(s).

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE – Task Force that plans and implements activities to raise funds for church related functions.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE – Support team that nominates candidates who choose to serve within the various church ministries and committees.
